Adam and I knew we had found our human the moment we met. We often joke that we have been together since the moment we laid eyes on one another. In fact, we celebrate our anniversary on the day that we met. It was certainly not by chance that we met the night we did.

I was in Destin with friends for spring break and Adam had just brought the boat back from the Caribbean. My friends and I decided to go to Baytowne Wharf for the evening to meet some of our other friends from college that were staying there. Throughout the night, my friends were adamant that I go talk to someone. After a few hours of harassment, I looked around and said "Ok fine. Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome over there". Before I could take a step in his direction, a friend bolted across the dance floor to go talk to him. Embarrassed, I was adamant that I was not going near him when she came running back over saying he wanted to meet me.

She was persistent, and he was really cute so I thought "oh what the heck. Why not?". It sounds corny but the moment our eyes met, it was as if we both knew we were meeting someone that was going to be very important in each of our lives. He has been my best friend since that moment and I could not be more grateful for my persistent and embarrassing friends!

It is no secret that the last 4 years of our story have been quite the rollercoaster. We can vow honestly when we say in sickness and health. We are blessed beyond measure for God's never ending mercy and love, and for the most incredible and supportive family and friends!
